Welcome to Redfern Legal Centre Publishing (RLCP)
We are a non-profit publisher of plain-English legal books which explain
the law and legal system in clear, concise language, enabling people to
better understand their rights and obligations and navigate their way
through the minefield of the law.
For over 20 years, RLCP has been committed to improving access to the
law and has gained a strong reputation for integrity, authority and community
service.
As a member of the Community Legal Centre sector, RLCP draws on the expertise
of hundreds of volunteer lawyers who share our commitment to making the
law accessible to all, and who write the books we publish.
Our philosophy is best described by the Governor of NSW, Marie Bashir,
who wrote that ‘in the quest for a more equitable and just society,
a knowledge of the laws that govern us is vital. The Law Handbook is an
essential link in the chain that binds law and justice.’
